
Julia Jenjezwa

Julia is a product designer, engineering educator, and innovation advocate passionate about activating innovation ecosystems across Africa. As the founding manager of a university makerspace in Tanzania, she mentored over 100 student projects from concept to functional devices, integrated active learning into curricula, and established effective tech transfer practices. An active member of the Global Innovation Gathering and the Africa Makerspace Network, Julia leverages research and public speaking to champion locally envisioned innovation. With a Master’s degree in Engineering-Design Impact from Stanford University, she combines technical expertise with human-centered design to develop solutions for resource-limited settings. Her work spans humanitarian engineering, technology education, and strategic partnership-building. Passionate about empowering youth and accelerating sustainable development, Julia thrives in dynamic environments where creativity meets impact. Outside the office, Julia is an avid gardener, Arduino-tinkerer and reader.
