YLabs to chair the HCDExchange Quality and Standards for HCD and ASRH Working Group

April 20th, 2021: What does 'quality’ mean at the intersection of human-centered design (HCD) and adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH)?

It's a question that we ask ourselves every day - and we are thrilled to be joining like-minded individuals and organizations in this important global conversation.

YLabs is chairing the HCDExchange Quality & Standards Working Group. We have been a member organization in the HCDExchange since its inception back in 2018 and even participated in the initial working group that established the organization’s four learning pillars.

As a part of this work, we’ll lead a committee of members dedicated to the quality space at the intersection of HCD and AYSRH, conduct a scoping of quality and standards across the field, and produce learning products that will serve the larger design community.

In April, we kicked off this important conversation during the HCDExchange community call. Panel speakers shared learnings, proud moments, ideas for what can be done better so that our community of practice can begin to align on foundational quality standards.

Quality is involving the concerned people in all the activities and all the products so that solutions can be built in accordance with what the concerned groups of people need.
